Krai

2018 | Archival pigment prints, gelatin silver prints,
16mm film, narrated prose-poems, supporting frames.
Audio channel: 00:06:30. 16mm film: 00:07:00.

Krai is an installation on personal relationships with the immediate habitat. It’s based on two places: the town of Tashkent where I grew up, and the outskirts of Oslo where I lived during my MFA years.
The installation combines 16mm film, 35mm film photography, drawings, and spoken verse. Wireless headphones were included to allow for looking at the images while listening to the poems.
