Vika Adutova was born in Tashkent and currently based in NYC. Her practice combines drawing, photography, film, and poetry. Adutova’s current project is an essay film based on the Barents Region and research on landscape history and narratives.


Adutova holds a BFA from FIT State University of NY, and an MFA from Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She exhibited nationally and internationally including Norway, Germany, and England, and has received support through residencies, scholarships, and grants including Atlantic Center for the Arts, Sally Hands Foundation, Wassaic Project, Chashama North Artist Residency, Carpediem Residency, PRAKSIS, Apartment Project Berlin, and Arts Council Norway.
